BS. If H-1B visas were eliminated there would be a labor shortage and wages would go up enticing more people to go into that field. It is called supply and demand.

You're missing my point. You cannot 'entice' people into a trade they are not trained for. The education system has to PROMOTE and provide this field as an option instead of snow flake social studies degrees as their first priority.

Also, IT wages are well above the national average already. Why does that not in and of itself entice more people to go into the field. Are you in the field? I have been, for 30+ years, as an employee, successful consulting firm owner, and independent contractor to Fortune 500 companies.

The problem is the brain washing in the education system steering kids into BS degrees where they end up as baristas at Starbucks vs. technical degrees.
