I watch KOMO’s news, and it’s still far left to me.

NYT employs liars. Sinclair employs families.

[[claiming that Sinclair’s local stations produce politically biased news...therefore making Sinclair unfit to own more of them.]]

Unfit to own them? Sicne hwen did we adopt a policy in this nation that a large group must toe a certain political line in order to be declared fit by law courts?

What makes a liberal group more ‘fit to own’ more stations?

I love Sinclair and here’s but one reason why.

At least a couple of reporters/anchors on my local tv station kept asking the Republican congresswoman if she was supporting Trump (I guess because they though he was not popular), but they never asked her Dem opponent if he was supporting Hillary Clinton, as if Hillary was some kind of wonderful person.

Recently my local tv station showed a head of Sinclair telling viewers to let Sinclair know if there was unbias on any of their stations.

Since then my local station gave a very nice interview with the reelected Republican congresswoman, and I believe it was because they understood Sinclair wants none of this unfairness on any of their stations.

They don’t even see their bias. They start with the belief they are correct. Liberalism is a religion and a mental disorder

Katie Couric, Charlie Gibson, Brian Williams and a tough old U.S. Marine Sergeant were captured by terrorists in Iraq. The leader of the terrorists told them he’d grant each of them one last request before they were beheaded and dragged naked through the streets.

Katie Couric said, “Well, I’m a Southerner, so I’d like one last plate of fried chicken.”

The leader nodded to an underling who left and returned with the chicken. Couric ate it all and said, “Now I can die content.”

Charlie Gibson said, “I’m living in New York, so I’d like to hear the song, The Moon and Me, one last time.”

The terrorist leader nodded to another terrorist who had studied the Western world and knew the music. He returned with some rag-tag musicians and played the song.

Gibson was satisfied.

Brian Williams said, “I’m a reporter to the end. I want to take out my tape recorder and describe the scene here and what’s about to happen. Maybe, someday, someone will hear it and know that I was on the job till the end.”

The leader directed an aide to hand over the tape recorder and Williams dictated his comments.

He then said, “Now I can die happy.”

The leader turned and asked, “And now, Mr. U.S. Marine, what is your final wish?”

“Kick me in the ass,” said the Marine.

“What?” asked the leader, “Will you mock us in your last hour?”

“No, I’m NOT kidding. I want you to kick me in the ass,” insisted the Marine.

So the leader shoved him into the yard and kicked him in the ass.

The Marine went sprawling, but rolled to his knees, pulled a 9 mm pistol from inside his cammies and shot the leader dead.

In the resulting confusion, he emptied his sidearm on six terrorists, then with his knife he slashed the throat of one, and with an AK-47, which he took, sprayed the rest of the terrorists killing another 11.

In a flash, all of them were either dead or fleeing for their lives.

As the Marine was untying Couric, Gibson, and Williams, they asked him, “Why didn’t you just shoot them all in the first place? Why did you ask him to kick you in the ass?”

”What?” replied the Marine, “and have you three assholes report that I was the aggressor.....?”

Semper Fi!

As Sinclair prepares to expand its stable of local TV stations with a proposed acquisition of Tribune Media ....

Tribune Media includes WGN radio, AM720 here in the Chicago media market along with WGN TV and WGN SuperStation which is carried on many cable/satellite networks around the country and world-wide.

I live in the Chicago media market and must be getting old as I actually LIKE WGN Radio and to a large degree, WGN TV. Why? LOCAL CONTENT and LOCAL FOCUS. Both are a wealth of both. Sure WGN TV has a left of center bias when it comes to the news however it's not so far left of center that it's no longer recognizable.

My guess is Sinclair Group wants Tribune Media to re-establish a Conservative presence in the news since Fox News has gone to complete crap. I've no objection to that at all, I just hope the local content focus doesn't get completely lost. To that end, I'm guessing Sinclair Media wants Tribune Media for WGN SuperStation to compete with Fox News.

Time will tell.
