Factual history is no longer taught/is ignored completely/revisionist garbage gets taught ( it's a triple threat ), so generations have, by now, missed out on knowing that.

There's a very old saying : "GIVE XXX AN INCH, HE'LL TAKE A MILE." We, collectively, have been giving away MILES, to various different people/groups, so now the demands have grown enormously.
