The reason most Lefties avoid STEM programs like the plagues is because those fields if done correctly are cold, hard and completely ruled by logic.

Don’t insult Freemasons like that. The fellow I knew who was an actual scientist (a chemist), and explained to me how AGW was bunk, was a good man and a proud Freemason.

Nye agreed: If we were to [invest in green technology], we would have at least 3 million new jobs in the United States that could not be outsourced
So, Mr Nye, put your money where your mouth is. Round up investors and make it happen.
You don't need tax money to advance technology.
