I don’t think Satan hated the cross, the empty tomb is another matter entirely. Easter is the day that death and Satan were defeated.
Satan was probably prematurely jumping for joy when Christ was on the Cross, until He said “It is finished”. Which can also be translated to “It is completed”. Then He said “Father into thy hands I commend my spirit.” He was really in control of the situation, He chose the time for the body to die, instead of waiting for His legs to be broken to hasten death, because He knew the outcome. Satan was doing some wishful thinking, and it blew up in his face.
