I caught that. I can't brush off Cernovich on this. He has been accurate too many times before. I had a lot of respect for McMaster following his leadership with VII Corp at the battle of 73 Easting.
I think this needs to be followed.

I’m not advocating for a large emplacement of US troops in Syria, and I would be happy to see the removal of our troops that are there (about 1,0000?).
But we should keep in mind that President Trump has different motivations than Obama did. Obama wanted to support Assad because he is an ally of Iran and enables Iran to spread its hegemony and threaten Israel. On the other hand, President Trump wants to weaken Iran, and will not support Assad’s replacement by another Iran quisling. Instead he may be working toward the balkanization of Syria into several mini-states.
