finally a TV, Drama Series which depicts the importance of the Father and his role and his importance in the family. How fathers leave a lasting legacy on their children. This is Us is a TV show everyone should be watching. If you have cable, you can see it from the beginning as most have a free On Demand Channel.

Seriously the best season of TV I’ve seen. 24 had a few up there, but this is so supremely written that it tops any others. I miss seeing it every week since the season finale.

Maybe it’s me but I can’t find a channel listed.

It’s an NBC show. I don’t see it on the schedule for the foreseeable future, but I imagine the first season will be rerun at some point.

I thought it was overrated.

Sappy and saccharine; I can see why chicks would like it.

Plot line was just silly.

Newsflash: When your baby dies at birth, the hospital doesn’t simply give you a replacement just because one becomes available.

I lost respect for Gerald McRaney.

Also, if you have cable TV, many offer free on demand for network shows.

I’ll wait and see if they add a gratuitous homosexual character next season before I invest any time in it.
This is network tv after all.

It is an utterly ridiculous show that has no basis in reality. It is a progressive fantasy of how they think the country should look like. Pure garbage that I’d never watch, although my wife does.

I just remembered they already did...Jack adopted an abandoned black baby when one of his triplets died at birth...as an adult, the adopted child found his biological father who was a former drug addict and a bi-sexual and had AIDS. At the time of the show, he had a male lover. The biological father died a few episodes later.

It’s still a great show...

First...all I know about this show is what I've read in this thread.

I'm a guy....entirely hetero.Love war films,Mafia films,political documentaries,the NFL and the NHL among many other "guy" things.

I also like some (but not many) so called "chick flicks".

My point:just because your wife watches it does that automatically mean you won't? If this show depicts a normal, decent, respectable husband and wife, mother and father it seems that that puts it far ahead of shows which feature every kid as "transgendered".

Yes,Leave It To Beaver was a bit "dull" but it most certainly wasn't scandalous as is so much of what we see on TV today.

Just sayin'....

he died a few episodes later.

This show does so many flashbacks, no one really dies from the show.

I thought I would die of boredom .

I dunno, I am probably an awful person but I think the show is so fake and boring!!

I did however watch the entire season on demand after work. (I work nights and it helped me fall asleep).
