Also new Mac Pros will be released, but not this year.
These are intended to be modular, and I’m hopeful that it’ll be possible to expand them to the point of being desk-side supercomputers with hundreds or thousands of cores available, along with many GPUs.
I’d also like to see the xMac surface, which would be a prosumer tower using i7 or Risen CPUs and high-end consumer GPUs. Apple needs to realize that the “greenest” PC is one you can upgrade...
You do not seem to have read the article ... unless you have insights into the Apple design process, there is no where stated anything about modular design.
The Mac Pro they talk about will be extremely upgradable.
