The Mini died three years ago, they may revive it but I doubt it. Why buy a Mini when you can buy an older Mac Pro for the same money and have a real machine. The 009 Pro machines can run the latest OS if you tweak them a little. If you don't need Wifi and Bluetooth then it is really easy, else a hundred bucks for a fix.
They only said the Mini is still important part of their line up. So it is not dead.
Some of us do not want to plug in some devise that draws 900 watts as the older Pros do.
