They could make something nice, if they’d get away from the plywood and do some actual woodworking. Yes, I’m a wood snob. I go around telling everyone that I make the best in the country of what I make, and I work hard to live up to it. I do it with my hands, not a laser.

Reading article I couldn't find any mention of their hands on woodwork. CAD/CAM operators but not wood workers.

And they don't have a lick of business sense.

....Typical designs can be finished in a few days, but the gearbox took Luce around five months to fully map out....

One of their most popular designs are smaller boxes with marijuana leaves on them, of which local pot stores have bought around 500.

Ok, head shops bought the stash boxes, meh.

The larger, more intricate boxes sell for between $40 and $100, depending on size and complexity.

So the described gear box, which photo is at the source, took five months to map out. Did that go for $100?

Maybe they head shops paid them with dope?
