I wonder, in the story line, how many generations it took for the simians to speak perfect English? To have such a large vocabulary?

Probably less than it takes the millions of hispanic “immigrants” in the U.S.

Just 1 generation. Their intelligence was jumpstarted by testing of an anti-Alzheimer's drug. No kidding. That was the plot of the first film. Yet, at the end of the first film, the "intelligent" apes freed a bunch of non intelligent apes from the zoo, who never took the drug. Yet those zoo apes somehow magically seemed to become intelligent too.
