So all they have to do is refuse to appear, and the investigation stays on hold forever?

Bad move.

And don’t tell me about Congressional subpoenas. Don’t go there. That’s never going to happen. Don’t even dream of it.

Congressional subpoenas are for Democrats to issue against Republicans.

Can’t the President order them to testify?

They do not want to talk, so now it is on hold. This will go on for a long time. That way they can keep this in the news and keep on accusing Trump.

pfft!

Maybe he can, but they can still refuse. The MSM will then explode in the biggest love-fest you've ever seen.

If DJT fires Comey after that, it will be called a "Wednesday night massacre" (or whatever day of the week it occurs on), and be characterized as a dastardly move of retaliation and political opportunism.

What happened to the subpoena? This is ridiculous. An FBI director is obstructing justice.

Yeah, have they been subpoenaed? If they have, and do not appear, have them arrested.

Proposed new law:
Any gov’t employee or contractor gives up all 5th amendment rights for anything involved in their government service, employment or official duties, and for any formal or informal discussions of pertinent issues with anyone inside or outside of the government during their service. They also consent to lie detector use during any questioning by any branch of the government pertinent to any such service.

‘Obstructing Justice’ ceased to be a thing when Justice ceased as a concept in the last 8 years. That’s why Jeff has to bring it roaring back to life ASAP, in DC, before these snakes slither off to non-extradition nations, which they’re planning as we speak. I’d rather fight them over here than over ‘there’.

You are dreaming.

The Democrats would vote against such a law. Not a single Democrat would vote for it.

The Democrat-MSM would then accuse President Trump of setting up a "two-track system of Constitutional rights" in the United States, "the first time a President has ever proposed such a thing."

The Democrats and MSM would go berserk with this. "What's Next?" they would ask. Attenuated Constitutional Rights for Welfare recipients? For "Gays"? For "immigrants" ?

Ask them why if they had an investigation into Trump in July why didn’t they wiretap him if they thought it was serious? Why would the FBI put us at Risk by not doing their jobs.

This way he has to explain why there wasn’t really an investigation or why they aren’t doing their jobs.

***************

They are thwarting the will of congress, refusing to appear before the duly elected representatives of the American people. These people don’t seem to think they are accountable to anyone.

And then there are politicized judges around this country over riding the president and essentially making policy on their own.

The government is becoming dysfunctional, unaccountable and working at cross purposes with itself. We are truly in an ever deepening constitutional crisis. Its no longer so hard to understand how the system can break down and civil wars break out.
