First of all, those employees who have insurance through their employment, do NOT pay the whole cost of that insurance.

Secondly, IF you get fired, there's COBRA!

If you can't afford to pay...there's NO hospital that will turn you away.

Insurance companies are NOT "charities", are in it to make money!

The crapsandwich things that were listed, are either irrational, stupid, unworkable, or just ridiculous.

When I got laid off I applied for COBRA. The annual premium they wanted was nearly 30% higher than my entire gross annual salary had been.
