Congressional Republicans might deliver some more bad news for President Donald Trump, fresh off their embarrassing failure to scrap Obamacare: No new money is coming to build his wall.

Trump hoped to jump-start construction of a massive wall on the U.S.-Mexico border with money in a must-pass government funding bill. But Democratic leaders are vowing to block any legislation that includes a single penny for the wall.

Trump would LOVE for the Dems to shut down the government over the wall.

That’s a lot of money per mile. I wonder if Trump will try to suspend Davis-Bacon to lower the cost?

No. The executive has no power over taxes.

Block it how? No filibuster in the House and I would assume this could be passed through the senate with a simple majority via reconciliation.

Maybe Sessions can stir up things with some trials before the next election so there would be a few vacancies and a mood to replace everyone.

Again, I’m not as up to speed on all the nonsense congressional rules as I should be. I think the basic gist is they need to raise the debt ceiling and the Dems can hold that up over the wall. How they can do that with the numbers they have is not clear.

How about a “service charge” on the money transfers? You know for the additional ‘complications’ needed to send US $ to another country?

I can see Trump holding his powder in the Russia crap and letting Obamacare limp along... but he must have a cross-the-Delaware moment and be our Washington on what bill he will sign.

"Ryancare was an effort to preserve Obamacare and hang it around Trump’s neck to make him a one term President."

Noting that I’m possibly wrong about corrupt Congress concerning Ryancare, I’m glad that somebody else sees that the “repeal Obamacare” phase 1 Ryancare bill was probably a Trojan Horse intended to bring rookie Trump down.

While I’m probably greatly underestimating “street fighter” Trump with this statement, he needs to wise up to who his enemies are. Uniparty Congress has Trump in their sights.

Contact your elected and urge them to get behind THEIR PRESIDENT....If America falls because of partisan/hate politics...we all fall. Obama is pushing this through his OFA....I'd say he is trying his best to overthrow the American democratic form of government...Obama is treasonous!
