“Why didnt Trump sell free markets as the replacement to 0bamaCare?”
The insurance companies wrote ObamaCare because they wanted a guaranteed stream of revenue.
All of the people forced onto Obama Care will need to buy insurance from somewhere when it is repealed.
Where are they going to buy? From the same insurance companies that will be thrilled to sell them all packages that will now cost a fortune.
So what do people do?
Allow people to buy insurance out of state, may be even from out of the country. This country became great by using competition in the economy. Obamacare restricts you to buy insurance inside your state ONLY. Not to mention the mandate which is a windfall for the insurance companies. If there was one good item in the AHCA, it was elimination of the mandate.
