My guess is that he is not eligible for a green card because he was under a deportation order.
I got my ass thrown out of Dubai when I arrived at the Airport because my visa had expired. It was their country and their law. I did not have a problem with this. However the really strange thing is I could go into Dubai by car with no problems from Oman.
Even stranger was the crossing from Abu Dhabi back into Oman at the Baramhi Oasis. When we were going from Oman to the wellsite we could cut across a corner of Abu Dhabi and reduce our trip by about 100 miles. At the border crossing I would dutifully line up to show my papers and then be waved through. I noticed Bedouins crossing the border but a few hundred yards away on camels and on foot. I asked the border agents why. His explanation was quite simple. He said, "They are Bedouins." The Bedouins were people of the desert and borders meant nothing to them.
That's really the most irrelevant piece in this fake news. I'm more curious about who her illegal husband voted for!...and how many times. We do smell similar BS though.
