An Excellent Start! These 19 Agencies Completely Defunded by Trump Budget

It’s not law yet, and it doesn’t cut overall spending that much. Nor does it significantly cut the deficit or come close to balancing the budget, which will never come under control until the 800 lb. elephant in the room — “entitlements” — are gutted dramatically.

And it doesn’t go as far as I would in slashing and burning the DC bureaucracy — largely unconstitutional — a giant sucking sound of redistribution of wealth from hardworking Americans to the blood-sucking leeches in the nation’s capitol.

Seditious organizations all. Well, perhaps an exaggeration, but government certainly has no business there.

let’s be very clear about these 19 agencies

they are filled with exceedingly well paid ( like $300,000 mid level
people ) who do very little.

I interacted with about 1/3 of these agencies in a past career. all are rife with Deadwood and Nepotism

I’ll bet 90% of the employees, that, have degrees, at these agencies have degrees in lesbian studies.

The Environmental Protection Agency, the State Department and the Agriculture Department took the hardest hits. The proposal also eliminates funding for these 19 agencies:

African Development Foundation

Appalachian Regional Commission

Chemical Safety Board

Corporation for National and Community Service

Corporation for Public Broadcasting

Delta Regional Authority

Denali Commission

Institute of Museum and Library Services

Inter-American Foundation

US Trade and Development Agency

Legal Services Corporation

National Endowment for the Arts

National Endowment for the Humanities

Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation

Northern Border Regional Commission

Overseas Private Investment Corporation

US Institute of Peace

US Interagency Council on Homelessness

Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars

Actually, the budget is not signed by the President. It is a joint resolution of Congress and is their outline of how they intend to appropriate funds. The appropriation bills have to be passed by both houses of Congress and signed by the President to become law.

But your point is valid that the President does not have to take further action on the budget and has fulfilled his campaign promise.

Anyone who cavalierly suggests ‘gutting’ entitlements should be subject to the gutting process first.

Dude, NO ONE one is “entitled” to a damn thing they cannot pay for with their own money, or acquire by some mutually agreed upon quid pro quo.

Every institution and organization on your list should be defunded immediately.

I should point out that the OP wasted his time with this post. I did not view the page at all. I closed every popup as soon as I could.

"Get serious.... The proposed budget by the president is just that— a proposal."

But more than that, it has started a conversation that now includes cutting deadwood. Not much deadwood, but the MSM can't avoid the discussion even if their only contributions to it are wailing and the gnashing of teeth. The establishment knows that once one useless agency is cut, it will be a beachhead and the precedent will be set. When the American people see that an agency can be cut and the sun still rises the following day that is potentially a major turning point in our history.
