I absolutely agree. No reason for the senators and congressmen to live in DC. Let them live in the places they supposedly represent. And, let the president and VP determine their own residences. Same with cabinet members. The libs would hate that. Well, the pubbies too. They are all used to their East Coast Hollywood.

There’s also the benefit that lobbyists would have to travel far and wide to issue their bribes, as opposed to just inviting the congressperson to lunch in DC.

Nearly everything that Congress does — votes, committee hearings, etc., can be done online. Bonus: no one misses votes because “the train was late.”
