Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, insists the U.S. government is in for a huge shakeup.

Specifically, he tweeted Tuesday that sources told him they are planning a "Pence takeover."

His sources, according to his Twitter feed: Two intelligence officials close to Vice President Pence -- and Hillary Clinton, whom he claims supports the "takeover." 1 of 7

Pence said in a Tuesday interview he found the allegations "absurd" and "frankly offensive."

Assange did not cite any evidence besides his anonymous sources nor offer any proof that he spoke to Clinton.

Pence is not the causal issue. The possible issue is not to be mentioned.

So are we talking about Section 1 or Section 4 of the 25th Amendment? Section 1 says the VP becomes President if the President is removed from office, dies, or resigns. Section 4 provides for how the VP and a majority of the Cabinet can declare the President to be disabled, making the VP Acting President.

Either way, this would be considered a coup.

It will take 8 years for Pence to be able to govern like Trump if he ever can! Pence is a good guy, but he’s no Trump, at least not yet. Pence would never be doing what Trump’s doing right now. I think he’s just a strap hanger at this juncture.
