If that were true, Mrs. Bill Clinton would be facing hundreds, perhaps thousands of felony charges.

My base case is hildabeast blaming “the russians” for everything is to deflect or misdirect focus from her criminal associations with russia in things such as uranium one & the podesta consulting kickbacks from the big russian banks......to name just a couple things she, bubba, the rodham boys & podesta brothers had going with the russians

To understand the pro-DNC media you need to understand how they first came to realize that they could meaningfully influence elections.

I would argue that the specific circumstances arising from Gary Hart being caught cheating on his wife led to where we are now.

For reference: Hart was a charismatic southerner, a Senator, and a popular (though not overwhelming) presidential candidate in the Democratic primaries. When he was caught on film on a boat with his mistress it was recieved with humor in DC, with a famous quote alternately assigned to Hollings or Kennedy that he’d “changed his mind on offshore drilling!”

But the media takes notice in arguably one of the few eras that they ever cared about infidelity in the 20th century. The result is that Hart’s hopes go down in flames and, apparently, also a myth arises that by caring about his infidelity the ultimate result was another Republican administration, that the Senator might well have gone on to victory in primaries and the general had the news kept silent as they had before.

So roll forward a few years and another charismatic Southerner is beset by issues arising from infidelity.

Against this a few influential and well placed journalists decide to carry his water, to circle the wagons around him, so that he might win.

Problem for the journalists is that the comparison between Gary Hart and Bill Clinton is hardly favorable to Clinton. Clinton is not just a cheat, he’s a criminal. As was recently said, IIRC, about 50 Shades Darker if it had been about anyone but a rich man it would’ve been a CSI episode. Likewise the thoroughly corrupt Clinton, had he not had things like the power of the governorship of Arkansas to abuse, would have never achieved anything but jail time. So once our journalists hitch their wagons to the Clinton team they rapidly discover there is a lot more they have to cover him for.

Like fictional frogs in frying pans they, step by step, compromised themselves till Clinton basically owned them.

But deliver the election they did.

So over the years, as the heat on the burner was ramped up, more and more journalists got onboard ... really in droves. The media had for a long time been “liberal” and biased but there is a difference between being favorable and being in the tank and it is this that got the press where they are now. Clinton was dirty, but the apparent high on the power to win for Democrats overwhelmed. Caring about the right sorts of causes became the gold standard and virtue signaling, always powerful to the left, became better public currency than virtue.

This didn’t happen all at once. Like a cancer it grew over time till now, in some, all is cancer.

As I said recently about another situation: if the they they were decades ago could see the they they have become, all at once, many would arguably be horrified. Arriving at a corrupt mindset, like depraved minds, is a process of compromise after compromise that for many may not even come with a whimper of realization for what is going on.

Supposition: had the media circled the wagons around Hart before Clinton ever came along it may have resulted in a very different present and media. It wasn’t only protecting Clinton from charges of infidelity that made the media so very corrupt: it was protecting him from everything else he’d done or would yet do, even to this day it still goes on. So there wouldn’t have been the same sort of follow up occasions to compromise integrity with Hart and the burner might not have been turned up quite so much and quickly as it was with Clinton.

Those are great; there was a great one for “wind chill” that involved his wife breaking his wind chill when she caught him with his girlfriend in the car...
