Noticed that a particular co-worker has been out for over two weeks now.
I noticed this particular co-worker looking VERY glum and even more sickly than usual after the election.
She often talks with her eyes closed (reference Southpark "THAAANKS!") https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXZeq9eXAys
She literally MARCHES into work taking giant Birkenstock clad steps. Eats ONLY organic, wears no makeup, does nothing with her hair except a sisal tied ponytail, you get the picture.
Anyway I asked why she was out and another co-worker told me she had Cryptic Organizing Pneumonia and Mononucleosis. She must have been so upset over the election that she collapsed her own immune system!
Unreal!
...winning
Look concerned.
Make sure you ask her how she’s feeling and tell her she looks a little pale and ‘out of sorts’.
It’s the least we can do for our liberal friends.
Sounds she is genuinely ill. Pneumonia can be very dangerous.
I know, right?
The irony is she routinely eats organic and healthy, is about 4’ 8” tall and weighs about 95 lbs soaking wet.
She said she took a flu shot as well.
Sounds like magalovirus.
LOL!
Yeah I had pneumonia a few times. But his is “Ms. Healthy” we’re talking about
Bet she’s anemic.
the important part, does she shave her legs and armpits ?
Cryptogenic Organizing Pneumonia is a real thing per Wikipedia. My wife had mono about 25 years ago and she was down for almost 6 weeks. She’s a trooper who has had four kids with no drugs including a 13 pounder, so for mono to nail her, it was pretty bad.
Of course, the cure for mono and COP is bacon, steak and eggs. Lots of eggs, preferably cooked on an oil burning stove. Hydrocarbons allow the animal protein to enter the bloodstream faster.
Not sure. She usually wears long peasant dresses in the summer and pants during the winter.
People who close their eyes when they talk to you need to be slapped. What a supremely annoying trait.
I think she would rather die than take that cure!
She’ll be back soon. Every performer needs an audience.
She may already be tired of crying in front of the mirror.
And two weeks with any pneumonia seems about average. I’ve had it. A co-worker once told me the he was feeling a little sick and had been diagnosed that morning. I told him that since he lived 30 minutes away, he needed to reserve an hour of energy otherwise he wouldn’t make it home.
He finally took my advice and left. He was out for two weeks.
oh it’s extremely noticeable.
Probably, but it would be fun to write the prescription anyway.
Tell her you heard Trump is putting something in the water — funny thing is that it only reacts with patoulli.
I had another touch of it this past month. the rattling in the bottom of your lungs area, the lethargy, the loss of appetite, night sweats, etc.
I pretty much ignored it this time around, took a bunch of Dayquil and cough meds with codeine plus lots of coffee and grapefruit juice w/vodka cocktail.
But seriously, she was in the pink before the election, practically hopping with delight (she normally votes the green party candidate) and then after the election you would have thought her children expired in a twister.
