I vowed some years ago to never visit Portland again. The pollution of downtown streets by the appearance of long-haired, tattooed and pierced, unwashed and profane examples of human debris are enough to turn any decent person’s stomach.
We went North (from Southern California) to visit some former neighbors circa 1968 around Coos Bay. What a circus! If Woodstock was wilder than that I’m glad I missed it!
Ah, but we have FReepers who insist that cities where marijuana is legal are bastions of liberty and lawfulness, and nobody’s rights are being violated.
