Donald Trump Bars CNN, NYT, LAT, Politico From White House Briefing

Shortly after President Donald Trump vowed to “do something” about the “cunning” media who he once again called “the enemy” of the American people, CNN announced on air it had been barred from today’s White House briefing.

CNN reports New York Times, Los Angles Times, and Politico also were told they were not on the White House list, for today’s off-camera briefing.

Breitbart, Fox News, Washington Times, and One America News Network were among those given entry, CNN reported.

Today’s off-camera gaggle is distinct from the on-camera White House Press Briefing led by Press Secretary Sean Spicer, which is not scheduled to take place today. It is not unusual to forego the on-camera press briefing on days when POTUS delivers a major speech, as happened this morning at CPAC.

CNN reports it was told by Spicer that the briefing was intended as a much smaller pool-coverage gathering, which typically means one print reporter, one radio reporter, etc. Spicer said he decided to expand the list of invitees as he saw fit, to include conservative-leaning news organizations; Spicer told CNN the intent was not to exclude certain news orgs.

Nonetheless, the White House Correspondents Association has protested today’s move, and some organizations, including Associated Press and Time magazine, have said they are boycotting.

More to come…

Trump really should call a off the record meeting with these pinheads who run these “news” organizations to tell them he understands they have a job to do and that is report on his adminstration and Trump would like fair and honest coverage even ifs it’s critical...

The press jobs to to report and not tore down an adminstration

The American people deserve that and we will have a much more positive relationship....if you started doing your job...

" . . . . Nonetheless, the White House Correspondents Association has protested today’s move, and some organizations, including Associated Press and Time magazine, have said they are boycotting."

So, "news" organizations, you're not going to show up, to do your jobs? You're going to 'boycott' in protest (where have we heard that before?) and not show up for your job?

Hmm. May President Trump and Sean Spicer treat you with the same fairness, understanding (and job security) that others who decide not to show up for their jobs have gotten, recently . . .

“CNN doesn’t need to be there. They just make up all their stories anyway. So, what difference does it make?”

The bashing of CNN here is deplorable. Of course they care and want to be there. They are professionals and perfectionists and take great pride in getting their news wrong. If they are not at the conference and completely make things up, like a stopped clock, they have a significant risk of correctly reporting the news twice a day.

No, they are better than that. They want to be present so that they can be sure of being 100% fake, and not occasionally right (by chance).

I caught that too. OANN needs to take it to the next level. The news you watch in the morning is the same as in the evening.

They are emerging.

I suspect their "boycott" will include mire vicious "fake news" stories about how Trump is a dictator now and an enemy of democracy. 😡 (barf)
