I did not say everyone was uneducated about fundamental Islam.
I just applied the original post to all us Americans and not just the radical leftists.
The original post didn't say all radical leftists it said many.
Unfortunately, many among the radical left are completely uneducated about Islam and sharia law.
They need the votes and will need the jihadis when the shtf. It’s that simple.
I am acquainted with an Iranian-American lady who protested against the Shah back in the late 1970s. She and her westernized university student friends, all leftists, found it exhilarating to demonstrate in the streets with the Muslim Khomeiniists. But as time went on and it became clear the Shah would fall, the Muslims turned on them, to the point of beating her and her friends for wearing western clothing. I met her a decade or so after that. She was still a leftist and probably always will be but that experience was powerful for her. She avoided some obvious conclusions by tending to blame religious fundamentalism in general rather than Islam in particular, but I think the basic point still registered. It would be interesting to hear her thoughts on Trump and Islam and the left these days. She would hate Trump, probably with a passion, but I wonder if she would be able to admit that he (and conservatives) might have a point.

Not really. Leftists don’t actually care about the causes they advocate. They care about power. Since they’re failing at the ballot box, bringing the Muslims on board to be their army makes sense. They’re confident that they control the muzzies. Eventually the Muslims will consume them but the left is very short sighted.
Yep! The Leftist think that they can join forces with the muslims to wipe out Christians, Jews, Whites and Conservatives and then they and the muslims will live happily in a land with no Jews, Christians, Whites, and Conservatives forever and ever. They are in for a surprise and from their point of view, not a pleasant one. But one lives and learns.
It gets worse that that Capt. Not only are most of the citizens of the United States uneducated about islam and sharia law, they have no desire to become educated on it. They are happy in their ignorance and bliss.
There is a bizarre emotional identification among liberals with these violent, barbaric Muslims. Stockholm syndrome occurs in people who have the abnormal psychiatric predisposition. At their core liberals are sado masochistic.

AS an agnostic I had no interest in Islam until 9-11, because I noticed young healthy and relatively wealthy men were giving up their lives to kill us while invoking a supernatural being.
I got tapes from the Univ. of Cairo on Islam.
I read about the geography and history of the Arabian Penninsula at the time of Muhammad's birth and life. Then I read the confusing Koran (which has its Mecca and Medina chapters out of order.
Then I read about Muhammad in the Hadiths by Bukhari and Muslim , because Muhammad is considered Allah's prophet and the he perfect man. When I finished doing this 2 times, I concluded if you are a Muslim you believe there is only one God and Muhammad is his prophet.
A muslim should follow the example set by Muhammad and subjugate, convert or kill anyone who resists spreading Islam worldwide.
I have the same take on Islam as Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab had in he 1700s when Muslims drifted away from the basic fundamentals.
Most so called Muslims are to me Heretics and don't follow the basics of Islam and that is to our Kafir advantage.
The ones that do follow the basics like ISIS-al Qaeda-Boko Haram-the Wahhabists etc. are out to destroy us and we should face up to that.
