Many commenters are assuming that the leakers are still in office. The NYT may not publish leaks immediately. Remember Brennan and Sally Yates? However, I believe that there are traitors still in office who are capable of leaking and supporting in general the anti-Trump coup.

How smart was it giving Bannon NSC creds?

Very. He may be the only trustworthy guy around, he and Miller.

Yup, and that is why this is one of the silliest articles ever posted on FR. The idea that any new National Security Advisor is going to solve all these problems just by bringing in a few of his own team members is absurd. Of course Harward must install his own trusted team, but that is just the bare beginnings of the work, not some complete solution to the rampant leaking and sabotage all over the IC. The NSC does not begin to control the entire IC, not even remotely.

Not sure high level spooks get fired. You fire them, they go work for the other side, as consultants. You jail them, they start squealing.

I think high level spooks just “disappear”

In this case, that might be a good idea. Would set the tone. A few of them fall dead from heart-attacks and boating accidents and see what happens.

I would tend to think that Trump should be on top of this. The “brain-trust” that made up the Hussien administration were some of the most vapidly stupid people on this planet. If Trump can’t outwit them then we really are in trouble...

Not really, assuming some leadership with cojones. ANY job in the IC can be withdrawn at any time for any reason, and is not subject to judicial review. . .

Do you expect IC professionals to be that brazen in leaving a government paper trail of the felonies they are committing against a sitting president?

I can tell you this (many years since I worked at the Puzzel Palace ). NSA dumps a good portion of the internet on to internal servers. So you can sit at your desk and 'surf the net' without actually being on the real net. IT constantly monitors what you look at.

It would not be hard to see who constantly goes out to DU to read during lunch, assuming that site gets dumped.

“Robert Harward’s planned “housecleaning” is the safest way to ensure Americans will remain safe. Posted Under NEWS “

Kudos to the Vice Admiral. This is exactly whats needs to be done in EVERY bureaucratic department in this government. I have been through several take-over acquisitions, in the banking business, and we always had to fire the department heads first and any staff that were obviously not on board with us. Then if any of the rest of the staff does to play ball we fired them to. Obviously, you have to be able to trust your people 100%. If there is any doubt, get them out!!!!

Bannon is completely fine in the role.

Did you think Susan Rice was a better choice?

yup, it’s nothing but a Fakebook opinion piece, no real news content, and a ridiculous headline. I can’t believe the mods let it sit in “Breaking News” - this article is crap.

We hope it proves true, but this is not a credible piece of journalism.

If you fire them and they go work for the other side then they are automatically treasonous bastards and need to ‘disappear’

FIRST negate Obama’s expansion of NSA powers he signed last fall. Immediately stop the Obama stooges from spying on the administration.

Wasn’t one of the first acts of the Clinton administration (in 1993) to fire all of the (Army) telephone operators who worked the White House switchboard?

I like K.T. MacFarland, always have. She seems honest and very professional, a good person to know. K.T. deserves a marquee White House position like this at this stage in her life. I was hoping she could stay.

Some of these people that need to be removed have federal tenure. However, they can be reassigned. I’m sure a nice position shuffling papers at some obscure federal agency could be arranged. Maybe forest ranger in Northern Alaska.
