It was the first black bloc for Neil Lawrence, a third-year undergraduate student at the University of California, Berkeley. He had demonstrated with Black Lives Matter and seen people in bandannas show up at events and smash things. But after the Berkeley College Republicans announced controversial Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos would be speaking on campus, Lawrence decided it was time for a more aggressive form of protest. “It became clear to me and my close friends that the tone of living in America is changing, and in order to stop being scared, we started organizing,” he says. “I, a transgender Jew, don’t have a problem with violence against fascists.”
Through a friend who was involved in the local Antifa (anti-fascist) group, Lawrence learned activists were planning a black bloc. As a 5-feet-2-inch person who has never been in a fight, he says he wanted the safety that comes from being part of an anonymous mob. On February 1, hours before Yiannopoulos was about to speak, Lawrence and around 150 others gathered off campus where Antifa told them to meet. They got their gear and outfits ready. He was dressed in all black and had a T-shirt wrapped around his face, leaving a slit for his eyes. A person with a megaphone told the group the route they’d be marching, and they set off toward campus. Along the way, they chanted, “No borders, no nations, f**k deportation.” Lawrence didn’t carry anything, but others had flags and projectiles....

That's ridiculous. Thanks to modern technology, there are high resolution photographs of many people's eyes. Facial recognition software would have a field day on campus.
In a large part of the world, the “black block” would be enjoying the fellowship of a mass grave.
Sounds like the protesters should protest themselves if they are really against fascism ...

Their philosophy boiled down is “It is OK to punch you if I call you a Nazi first, despite the fact that you don’t begin to resemble the real Nazis.”
Basically no one in leadership positions on the Left has spoken out against this, and in fact a few have spoken approvingly.
If this continues, it will not end well.
” Transgender Jew” is an oxymoron. The Torah says such a person is to be cut off from his people. He is not a Jew; he has forsaken the Covenant. You can’t be both.
Read the riot act. Arrest them and process them. Prosecute them.
There could be more arrests with better identification. The police could spray paint black bloc criminals with paint like is used in bank robberies.
Absolutely. Tie them and their parents up in court if they are under age. As part of their parole they must take and pass a civics test. If they have damaged anything they must pay resitution.

In the sixties the Japanese came out with a skin dye that when sprayed on demonstrators could not be washed away for days and made the recipient smell like feces. Liberals raised Hell about it an not allowed into the USA—we need it now.

BLM sent one of their big chiefs to South Carolina to protest this past summer. By the time the dust settled, this stupid wannabe revolutionary got charged with attempted murder and is facing 10-20 years in state prison.
