If you throw a net into the sea there’s no telling what ‘fish’ you’re going to catch until you actually bring it up onto the boat — that’s where the sorting takes place. What is ICE supposed to do? Only suit-up for a raid if they know absolutely beforehand that ALL people in a given place & time are criminal aliens? That’s an impossibly high standard for police work.

The memo formally directed them to exercise their enforcement discretion on behalf of individuals who met the requirements.
DACA is not law.
If these ‘dreamers’ are truly afraid, there would be a dust cloud visible from the ISS, heading south. When that is announced, I’ll know we are making progress.
You have to start somewhere. Hundreds in the first sweep will naturally lead to thousands, then millions. It's coming one way or another.
DACA was never authorized by law, so this does not constitute "legal permission".
