A very sick society I suggest!
Either about 40% of the population is going to disappear or America is gone regardless if we get a Trumpian hiatus in the collapse. I have wondered if the Constitution and the ideals that went into it could be salvaged by a geographical separation with the crazies and pagans in their own areas and the rest of the country consisting of the rational part. It wouldn’t work for long. The material losers from the West Coast and Chicago would pour into the Constitutional part of the country looking for food and TVs. The gangs from Chicago and Baltimore would stage constant raids with ever more powerful weapons. There would be constant surreptious immigration from the serf class in the ASSR and we would back to where we are now.
