Gay rights groups are bracing for a possible executive order from Donald Trump concerning the rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people.
The rumoured order could affect adoption agencies that receive government funding, among other issues, according to initial reports.
JoDee Winterhof, senior vice president of the Human Rights Campaign, called the rumours about a forthcoming order "deeply troubling".
"As the President and his team plan their next steps, we want to make one thing clear: we won't give one inch when it comes to defending equality, whether it is a full-on frontal assault or an attack under the guise of religion," she said....

Trump has no plan to intervene in adoptions or specify what kind of parents can or can’t adopt.
He is only likely to undo Obama’s intrusive and discriminatory EO.
Obama’s EO required EVERY adoption agency to be willing to place children with homosexual adoptive parents, effectively shutting down faith-based adoption agencies that rejected homosexual applicants.
The homos could easily apply at secular adoption agencies that are okay with LGBT parents —just like they can easily find another bakery for their wedding cake.
But they don’t just want cakes or families of their own; they want to destroy traditional families, and manipulating adoption policies was one more way to do it.
And with regard to children, as opposed to cakes, the pro-life issue intervenes: It is a FACT that MOST pregnant women who choose adoption, will INSIST on heterosexual adoptive parents for their babies.
When denied that CHOICE (hmmm!) many more of these girls will choose abortion rather than lesbian or two-daddy homes for their babies.
The LGBTers know this maternal preference limits their access to children.
Obama’s EO essentially said that adoption agencies, and by extension, birth mothers could “discriminate” against homosexuals.
Thus his EO effectively provides ready access to children for both his LGBT and pro-abort constituencies.
That’s how evil the left is: they’d rather see the child killed than allow it a mother and a father.
If Trump tosses Obama’s EO (which I assume he will) he is not taking away any rights from gays.
He will simply be restoring the rights of biological mothers to choose among adoption agencies with differing placement policies. In being allowed to specify what kind of parents will adopt their babies, more mothers will choose life.

I am sensitive to this because Catholic Social Services help my non-Catholic family adopt a Korean infant girl many years ago.
Just another example of “Liberal [non]Tolerance” (their way or the highway).
