I don't know much about Johnathan Swift's 'Gulliver's travel'. I saw the child's cartoon addition, and I think there was an old black and white movie I might have seen but that was nothing but childhood amusement.
It wasn't until my mid 20's when I came to find out it was a political commentary. I never revisited it to see exactly what it was conveying.
I will now since it It dawned on me. The Media and the Democrats look suspiciously like the lilliputians.
Jonathan Swift
Best political satire ever. One of my favorite books.
Same applies to many of the nursery rhymes children can recite.....the rhymes were written as political satire of the times.
There's a book, too, you know.
Even if you come late to the party, you still made it! Read the book. You won’t get much from the movies.
