Actually, statistically speaking, women are and have always been pretty much average, tending to the middle of the IQ scale. It's the men who are smarter, being over-represented at the genius end of the IQ scale. But, men are also dumber, being over-represented at the low end of the IQ scale. Even so, men average out to average, too. Just differently. Funny how that works.
Nevertheless, I say that the leftist disintegration of the US really began with the communist (”progressive”) success in adding amendments in the early 20th Century, especially the 19th Amendment.
Women, by and large, vote left more than men: They want to feel protected and protecting, they want to feel nurtured and nurturing. They want an all-powerful Sugar Daddy who will take care of them and everyone else.
No, not all: just a consistently and significantly higher proportion than in the male populace.
It is women who have made the welfare state, and who have given the Democratic Party its power.
The much-hated White Male did not - and that is why he is hated, and why the communists wanted women to have the vote.
