Indian American supporters of President Donald Trump believe that the relationship between the United States and India is heading towards a brighter future.

“This is the beginning of a new era, new dawn of new (US-India) relationship,” Digvijay Singh ‘Danny’ Gaekwad, who worked closely with Trump and his election campaign, told PTI.

“With Trump becoming the president, a new India-US relationship will begin. This one President in my lifetime, who has come on a national television and said I love India, I love Indians, I want to help India, I want to fight terrorism. It that is not enough then what is enough,” The hotelier and a first general successful entrepreneur from Florida said.

“No President has ever said this on a national television at the election time. He is not afraid. He is the new breath in the time,” Gaekwad said.

“He understands India very well. I have not met a presidential candidate in my lifetime who knows about India, who has been to India and who understands India and who ever dared to say in the middle of a heated political debate that I love India and I love Hindus,” he added.

A member of the Trump’s Asian American and Pacific Islanders Advisory Committee, Harry Walia opined that the US-India relationship is going to be fantastic.

“The relationship is going to be fantastic because we are natural allies. Trump has already made a statement that we are going to be best friends,” he told PTI referring to the October Edison speech of President Donald Trump.

“With Trump inside the White House, Walia said, is expects “ a very open dialogue” between India and the US.

“And it would be fruitful on defense side and economic side. Trump recognizes US relationship with India is very different that the rest of the countries that he has been mentioning. Because we bring talent, we are economic engines in America. We are a peaceful community. We are activist in mainstream and we do not talk trash to anyone. We contribute a lot to the American society,” he said.

California-based K V Kumar told to PTI that the relationship between US and India would be far better than it has been under any other American president.

“He is a businessman. He is going to establish a good business relationship with India. And India will greatly benefit from his administration,” Kumar said.

This is old, classist-ethnicity-think.

Both India and the Philippines have out sourced call centers they should be concerned about.

My wife is Filipina so I have an interest in that industry, but we are both American and Trump has promised to save and bring back jobs.

All WE have to do is teach our kids to speak English correctly ....

(you don't begin a sentence with the word "so") ...

and clearly (You do NOT want a government employee on the line based out of Washington DC, Maryland or surrounding areas ... they do not speak clearly)

And WE could have those call center jobs.

But the NEA has learned to kill America by killing our kids' (ability) to communicate with other human beings.

Witness the mindlessness of recent riots and marches ... not two brain cells shared amongst them all.

And every ONE of them a grad or drop out from an American public HS !

Without H1B and L1 visas and with all Indian workers going home to India. No exceptions.

We will continue to trade with other countries (more fairly) under Trump. I’d prefer India to China.

By 2030, nearly half the Indian population will be under the age of 30. By that same date, about half the Chinese population will be 50 years of age and older.

The ChiComms have aborted their future. Since 2011, private equity firms have abandoned China in droves and gone to other Asian countries like India.

India is the future of Asia. Trump understands that.

The very best thing President Trump could do for India would be to create a “government efficiency board” for them, with a private report for India’s leaders, and a public report to be widely published and distributed.

The idea is evaluation of current practices at the local, regional and national level, compared with “best practices” from around the world.

The private report to leaders would be prioritized with first, easy solutions to seemingly intractable problems; bureaucratic streamlining; elimination of unnecessary layers of government; and the encouragement of business.

The public report would enlighten the public to glaringly obvious problems and rally them to support those politicians that back reform.

Really? Indians and Filipinos speak better English than Americans? You seem like pussy whipped by your Filipina wife. Call center jobs are going there because of lower costs.

Don't be an ass.

We have extensive experience because of my wife in dealing with USCIS and SS offices in Washington (202 exchanges)

Filipino call centers are not hired unless their English is impeccable and they are not allowed to speak Tagalog or any other dialect.

MY comment is identical to yours ... empirical knowledge through personal experience.

Unless you're just lashing out.
