A small hop, skip and jump to homophobia, Islamophobia, trans-phobia and all the gazillion other ‘phobias’ that are becoming socially unacceptable
The restrictions on free speech in today’s universities are nothing less than the attempt to take control of language to prevent the free exchange and discussion of ideas.
It all starts innocuously enough; who doesn’t want to end racism? And if the use of certain pejoratives becomes socially unacceptable, then let’s all pitch in! However, the progressive mind is never satisfied unless it is able to impose its will on everyone else.
Being able to speak your mind without recrimination ophobia. People are starting to get more and more paranoid over saying something that would get them in trouble with those hate speech laws.
The muslims celebrate as we stumble down this darkened road.
Start taking away funding from public universities. And add a new class of person to the EEOC roles. White males. What are they going to do, sue?
Patriots don’t stumble. They don’t wait for the liberal government to announce what they will or rather won’t do. What have they done about the mussies in the US since the last several shooting outrages? Absolutely nothing. From Boston through SanB to Orlando via Ft. Hood. What has the 0bozo regime done but to say platitudes about Islam being the ROP?
I remember a few years back a woman in the office used the word “niggly” in an e-mail. I pointed out to her the potential risk of that word and she agreed, then we both rolled out eyes over how crazy things have gotten. Its now much worse. Trump’s no holds barred mouth has the potential to break it all up into pieces, that is why it is soooo cool that he will be prez in just a few days.
I have confidence that these things will change January 21.
No, eliminate all these classes from civil rights legislation. They are used to discriminate against everyone else, and it has morphed into “your freedom of speech ends when any member of X, Y and Z classes are offended ... and you have to shut up if liberals say they MIGHT be offended”.
In short, protection of newly restored rights to blacks have turned into a new government hierarchy inverting that of the 1950s.
It is even back to blacks demanding segregation on campus and banning whites from events for their comfort.
I really like the human race and all the those other wannabe races excluding the Indy 500 can KMA....
