The deep state has nothing to do with America either. We have time to wipe out both. But actually, a political leftist can be legitimate while the deep state never can. The deep state operates outside the constitution and does not feel constrained by it.
We did not have it to any appreciable extent before WWII. It has now developed into a secret government.
Every agency, not just the intelligence agencies, needs a thorough housecleaning and fumigation after the Kenyanesian Usurpation. Obama has embedded many enemy agents in every agency.
The CIA in particular needs neutering.
Agree on all points. Let us hope Trump does this. It's time to oust the socialist/globalist elements, root and branch.
I disagree. Information of which I have learned over the last year has convinced me that our "deep state" was created more or less by the ascendancy of Lincoln. It is no coincidence that the era right after Lincoln is know as the worst period of corruption in the nation's history.
I think the undue influence and corruption between the powerful industrialists and government continued after the gilded age, they just learned to be more circumspect about it.

The CIA has been infiltrated by incompetent progressives for some time. Witness the “secret agent” Valerie Plame (who was actually a desk jockey analyst of dubious worth) and her fraud of a husband Joseph Wilson of African uranium yellowcake “fame”.
