Official Washington is being traumatized by the tweets of Donald Trump.
Politico has chronicled the pearl clutching concern by the inside the beltway types over Trump's tweets. It seems Trump speaking directly to the people via Twitter is causing a crisis among politicians and lobbyists, who just don't know how to handle it as reflected in the article title, Trump’s Twitter feed traumatizes Washington.

This is a parallel in history to the Reformation of the 1500s when the Gutenberg press made it possible for Luther and other reformers to spread their writings across Europe. The speed of the new printing press enabled information to flow much more freely than hand-copying of the Bible and religious documents such as the Ninety Five Theses. The Pope tried to censor these books and pamphlets, but to no avail because the ponderous Catholic Church was no match for the speedy new technology. This brought down the establishment in both religion and politics.
We are living in historic times. We must not waste this golden opportunity to shake free from the established patterns of power. Or as Pres. Elect Trump says, “Drain the swamp!” MAGA!
