Mexico again says there is 'no way' it will pay for Trump wall

MEXICO CITY (REUTERS) - Mexico’s new Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray said on Tuesday (Jan 10) there is no way his country will pay for the wall that US President-elect Donald Trump has pledged to build on the United States’ southern border to keep out illegal immigrants.

“There’s no way that could happen,” Videgaray said on Mexican television a few days after his appointment. “There are no circumstances...not even the best possible trade deal, investments, support which would justify taking a step that would violate the dignity of Mexicans to such an extent.”

The wall has been a bone of contention between Trump and Mexico since the businessman launched his presidential campaign in June 2015, accusing Mexico of sending rapists and drug dealers across the border into the United States.

Trump said on Friday that Mexico would repay the United States for the wall, a day after news emerged that the New Yorker’s transition team was exploring getting the Republican-led Congress to vote to approve the funding....

Haven’t they already sort of paid for it with three car companies cancelling Mexican factories to build here?

I read recently that 25% of the Mexican GDP are Mexicans sending back cash there.

6% Build the Wall surcharge for cash transfers from U.S. to Mexico = wall built!

I’d say that is nonsense.

One way or the other, Mexico will pay for the wall. Either directly, or by some other way. Ford for example, just cancelled a big factory in Mexico. And Trump hasn’t even been sworn in.

Partial payment, right there, I would say. Lots more of that, to happen.

Nearly everything anyone has said about Trump or said won’t happen has.

Mexico will pay, by the end they will be begging to pay.

Tax remittances and they will have no choice. Mexicans shipped $27 billion home last year from the USA.

They will pay for it and if they don’t shut up about it, they will pay for a wall with Canada, too.

Then we send all their immigrants back, saving us enough money to build the wall anyway.

I don’t remember anyone ever giving them a choice in the matter. They want access to our market, they want us to continue to NOT require immediate reimbursement for all the fraud their citizens have perpetrated on the U.S. (Medical costs alone are in the hundreds of billions, they want to continue on a good footing with the World Hyper power and ONLY hyper economy.

They damn well better get it in their heads they are going to pay. One way or another.

I also read that Mexicans, both illegal and legal, send some $14 billion nassssty yanqui dolares BACK to Mexico.

Wall = BIG changes. The Mexicans will build TUNNELS.
There already ARE tunnels between California and Mexico.

Their rotten, corrupt government drives them north for those nassssty yanqui dolares. Money drives them north.

Make it 30% to reflect the 30 million illegal aliens, some of whom are not Mexicans but entered through their country.

Does that include drug money?

It's supply and demand, 100% capitalism.

AMERICANS demand drugs.
MEXICANS supply them.

We have nobody to blame but ourselves. There would be NO Mexican drug cartels without American DEMAND for drugs.

Mexico holds absolutely n-o-t-h-i-n-g over the United States.
We hold all the cards. They will have no choice in the matter.
