I agree. As a humble protestant country hayseed, from a kid up I felt squeamish about it, wondering if it wasn’t, in fact, borderline sacriligious.
It’s simply ignorance. Most Catholics born in this country are better educated and don’t name their kids Jesus.
Hispanic lower classes that come here tend to do that. I don’t think even the Hispanic Middle and Upper classes do that.
Same for Mohammed, a bunch of cultists don’t mind naming their kid after the schizophrenic pedo at all.
