Yes, but in replacement the Trump team needs to make sure to take in true patriots from across the country, not just the sniffling GOPe already based in DC.
“There were going to be mass resignations at the FBI, too, over Comey.”
Nobody ever quits government voluntarily. The pay is too high and the benefits are too good and the work is too undemanding for the vast majority of government jobs.
Just sayin...
I can’t see it happening. The left pretty much owns the Agencies and historically has used this position as a method of scuttling the initiatives of republican Presidents. They are not going to give up that lever. I hope that Trump fires everyone in those agencies, especially EPA and CIA and the DOEs that he can and then doesn’t replace them except at CIA.
The CIA gets its recruits mostly from Harvard and Yale and Princeton. As such it is obvious that they are partisan and leftist and need to be given their pink slips. Each should be fired with a substantial separation bonus on the condition that he does not prematurely resign so that Trump can execute a deliberate exfoliation of the agency without a disastrous mass resignation.
Up until Reagan the CIA annually reported to the President that the Economy of the USSR was about half of ours and that the Soviet economy was expanding at twice the rate of the American economy. That was going on since there was a CIA and it doesn’t compute. Reagan knew by that that it was all BS and circumvented the institutional CIA with his own Director who picked his sources and got an accurate assessment. Reagan thus had the numbers and knew what he could do to hasten the end of the Soviet Empire, no thanks to the CIA.
Like any cockroaches, they scurry away as soon as the light comes on and reveals what bunch of SOBs they are. They are resigning before they get fired for cause.
They also should be smart enough to know that you shouldn’t go to war with the king.
The salad and champagne days of the CIA are over!
Let’s hope so.
