I agree with you 100%, except for the point about the private security. Trump has thrown the entire political establishment in Washington into disarray with his victory, so I have no problem if he’s concerned that government-run security operations leave him vulnerable.
Even an egomaniac like Bloomberg, who could buy and sell Donald Trump, dropped his private security and went with the NYPD protective detail during his 12 years as Mayor.
