Actually it was covered on local Chicago news and CNN reported on it—lengthy with panel discussion.
For once, I think was actually agreeing with Daniel Lemmon...he seemed to believe it was a hate crime, unlike a couple of the crazy panelists.
For the record though, this is now covered pretty much anywhere.
I saw it in Norwegian media citing CNN.
