Actually, when Obama was first elected, I stocked up on rice and beans too. I figured we had another 9/11 coming because terrorists would be emboldened. Happy it didn’t get that bad. LOL... I still keep a lot of rice and beans on hand.
It’s always good to be prepared. It could be for a possible blackout or hurricane (many NY/NJ’ers did not expect Sandy). But many took this SHTF too far and wanted to withdraw completely from modern civilization.

I confess that I have been indulging in an orgy of schadenfreude rewatching videos of the election night media meltdown and the circus of SJW angst and misery, and also have been obsessively following the news during the transition period.
But, being a human being, part of me does feel sympathy for their pain. After the elections of Obama in 2008 and 2012, I was stunned and depressed to the point where I couldn’t even stand to visit FR for weeks (or was it months?). I also stopped watching the news, and just avoided politics all together.
It took me a long painful time to get to the point of accepting the fact of Obama’s presidency, and especially his re-election. For the last eight years, I haven’t been able to even look at an American flag without feeling like I was mourning the death of our once-great nation.
So I don’t really think the snowflakes and moonbats are crazy for just avoiding politics altogether now. (Well, not anymore crazy then they always are.)
I think it’s a natural human tendency to do that when one’s world view (however unconnected to reality it may be) is completely shattered.
And I can’t say there isn’t a part of me that feels their pain with at least a little bit of sympathy.
Still, if anybody has to be grief stricken and miserable over the election results, I’m glad it’s them for a change instead of me.

I am trying to find a time series of 11/8 from the hiLIARy campaign HQ as they start with high hopes and celebration and then over the next 4 hours or so (as I said, a time SEQUENCE) see their dreams shattered.
All the ones I have found are after 9:00 and when Trump had it with a few clips from the MSM earlier or the day before.
I want to WATCH them go from ecstasy to agony. I want to wring every moment out of their fall and then enjoy their wailing and lamentations.
Have you seen anything like that out there?
I got off of facebook because the lefties are insane. They are all gloom and doom, it would be funny if they weren’t so serious. Logic is useless with these folks so let’s just sit back and enjoy the ride. I’m really glad I dropped TV this year. And to that idiotic lefty who thinks you need to eat rice and beans to get a complete protein, that idea comes from a study on rats that was done in 1915. You can get all the protein you need from starches like rice, potatoes, bean, pasta. If you saw the Martian you might have picked up that he was growing potatoes. They are 8% protein. That’s more than enough
