It’s been eight years since I’ve seen the homeless mentioned in the news. I thought maybe Obama had found places to live for all of them...
I don’t know anyone who is thinking about the homeless and getting nervous...
Hey, I remember that guy. I think he ran a shelter or something. He was always protesting Reagan and was the go-to guy whenever the media wanted an emotional interview or a heartfelt quote about the plight of the homeless. He was on TV all the time.
I vaguely recall he ended up in a tragedy of some kind.
Found him. Mitch Snyder. Martin Sheen played him in his bio pic.
He hung himself in 1990.
I can't speak to the homeless and government workers in other cities, though.
This is a city and state problem...NOT something that the president should be involved in "curing" !
Those cookies and for real Brit chocolate candy made by Cadbury, were tow things I went mad for, when I was 18, on our first trip to Bermuda. :-)

Oh forget grocery stores, all over this nation, that sell Brit food stuffs....my little, now infamous Ct. town, has it's very own BRIT SHOPPE ! And until it sadly closed ( broke my heart! ), one town over had THE best little international food store EVER; outside of Manhattan.
I've noticed that a lot of Brits have NO knowledge of America and Americans, yet they call us names and claim, FALSELY, that Americans NEVER travel at all; especially outside of the USA. I bet that not a one of those who post this crap, have EVER been here!
OTOH...John Catsimatidis IS a FUGLY wack-job in spades and so his his also fat FUGLY daughter!
I've never tasted either; however, I have, unfortunately, smelled both. ;^P

Here in the NYC metro area they send cops out to find these people when the temperature falls, and many still refuse the shelters. Drug habits don’t just lead to homelessness; they perpetuate it because they don’t allow drug use. I wouldn’t say they’re well off, but they don’t want the help that is offered.
If the dems/leftists/liberals are so concerned about the homeless, let them support them out of their own pockets.
Plenty of them have enough money to spread around. They can invite them into their homes themselves and feed and clothe them out of their own pocketbooks.
Don’t pretend to be such an advocate for the poor and then demand that everyone else carry your water and do your dirty work that you are too lazy to do but want all the credit for.

Funny I don’t remember Obama ever mentioning the “homeless”. In fact under Obama street bums are more common then ever.
That was Barry’s #1 concern. The fact that he was so introverted prevented him from touting about it.
The other reason may be that he knows the first thing about getting charities out of helping people may not be such a good idea.

You’re in luck this week; the Guardian has a hate fest on Oreo cookies which are overtaking British cookies in market share. Absolute melt down. I can’t comment; they banned me at least two years ago for arguing with stupid Brits, lol.
