During the campaign, Trump put forward his priorities and, implicitly, on what he might be willing to trade in order to get the problem of immigration fixed.
Donald Trump’s entire life has been one of a deal maker. Somethings are win-win. Some other things involve some give and take. Trump is not a arrogant sash*le like the person he’s replacing who think he can do an end-run around Congress and the American people. This is, in part, because he is confident that he can strike a good bargain.
BTW It’s not just Democrats with who Trump has to deal. It’s also with the establishment Republicans.
I wouldn’t mind a small concession in exchange for ending the anchor baby loophole. Now that would be a good deal.
