Many Indian languages aren’t Indo-European actually.
The predominant languages of Southern India are all Dravidian, the pre-Aryan languages of India, not at all related to European tongues, other than through borrowings.
Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, etc.
These are the native languages of a great number of recent Indian immigrants and H1bs.
