However, if you read the writings of the earliest feminists they were adamantly against abortion because they saw that it sacrificed the life of the innocent child while endangering the mother all so that the father of the child could avoid his responsibility. Sadly, today there are millions of children who never know their fathers nor receive any kind of financial support from him. So, in a way, they STILL avoid responsibility.
