Then save the link for later sharing. Show it to all of your friends who think Trump is a racist monster. This ends it.

The anti Trumpers have been so thoroughly indoctrinated and the indoctrination is so deeply ingrained that reprogramming them is an impossible task.

Although I do not trust him, he is going to be the new President of the United States of America, and I will support him while he is in the office.

In the words of Ronald Reagan, trust, but verify.

I have to agree with the NeverTrumpers that there are ample reasons to be wary of Mr. Trump. He was never really much of a conservative until he decided to run for President.

But I love what I see so far. And he is beyond infinitely superior to Hillary or Obama.

I actually shared this story on my facebook page yesterday, with the observation that those that really need to read probably won’t and what else is new.

As of 18 hours later, no likes, no shares, no comments. Something about leading horses to water, I think...

Peculiar thing about the ‘net - all of the world’s information and opinions are just a few clicks away, but a majority of us simply use it for confirmation bias.

Pretty good article by Scott Alexander, but it is quite long, and itself contains some false conclusions (e.g., Trump doesn't trust Judge Curiel because Curiel is a Mexican).

I don't believe the people who accuse Trump of being a racist, and this includes the reporters at CNN (who claim they aren't suggesting it, "other people" are), have any intention of challenging their own conclusions, or of proving them. The MO is to resort to "some people say" and innuendo. This patterns of crying wolf will persist the next 8 years, as much as it has persisted for the last 50. The agenda and narrative controls, not reason and truth.

I did enjoy this:

I mean, kind of. But remember that 4% of Americans believe that lizardmen control all major governments. And 5% of Obama voters believe that Obama is the Antichrist. The white supremacist vote is about the same as the lizardmen-control-everything vote, or the Obama-is-the-Antichrist-but-I-support-him-anyway vote.

The article is loaded with links to risible news articles.

I’ve read Youtuber Sargon of Akkad comparing Social Justice to a cult. Deprogramming seems appropriate there, too.

If it can be done. I would prefer a short rope and a tall tree . Before Nation became politically correct and allowed their enemies free rein and free access to go about doing their dirty business of destroying them from the inside, traitors and anarchists were hanged. There was a reason for that. It is spelled: S-U-R-V-I-V-A-L.

It is kinda like a “Don’t Feed the Bears” sign. there was a reason it was placed there.

This sounds like Ted Cruz’s most vocal Freeper wrote it.

Initially, based on what others said, I did support Ted. However, the more I learned on my own about Ted on my own, the less enamored of him I became. Finally, we parted company.

On other other hand, I started out not supporting Donald. But, the more I listened to him, the more I learned about him, the more I liked him. The straw that broke the camel’s back as far as Donald was concerned was when I learned who hated him. I realized that the same people that hated Donald also hated me. From that moment forward, I was hooked on Donald. And have never looked back.

One might say that as Ted wilted, Donald bloomed. As Ted dimmed, Donald shown.

Excuse me, but conservatives have never been electable in this country. Even Ronald Reagan had his unconservative moments. So who is this pure-as-driven-snow conservative you speak about?

Wanting a conservative in the White House is a laudable goal. But reality intervenes when one discovers the they aren't electable. Even Ted Cruz, the most conservative of the GOP bunch in the primaries, had to drop out from no support.

Agreeing with the Never Trumpers at this point, after Trump has already been elected, is a fool's journey. Good luck with that.

” Peculiar thing about the ‘net - all of the world’s information and opinions are just a few clicks away, but a majority of us simply use it for confirmation bias.”

More like “peculiar thing about humans” the net just facilitates it. We conservatives and freepers have to guard against that ourselves.

From the article that Adams links to:

Caring about who the KKK or the alt-right supports is a lot like caring about who Satanists support. It’s not something you would do if you wanted to understand real political forces. It’s only something you would do if you want to connect an opposing candidate to the most outrageous caricature of evil you can find on short notice.

Now I wonder, who did the Satanists support?

It won’t work - the vast majority of anti-trumpers fall into two category.

1. Useful idiots on the left incapable of following the rational arguments in that article.
2. Intellectual purist conservatives who are totally put off by the non-intellectual common sense pragmatism of Trump. They include National Review, George Will, Ben Shapiro, Mark Levin and others.

We’ve had discussions of who we’re going to invite for the holidays and not, because of political fallout.
I said anyone who thought it was OK to lecture me on Obamacare over holiday meals per the “pajama boy” ads is not coming to our house, and the ($*#*@! who criticized me over my politics in front of my children in my own house does not come back.
