Yes.

Oh, I think Cruz in all three debates would have been interesting to watch and strictly on debates....he would have done as well as Trump.

But you needed someone who just kept taking the curves that she threw and tossed them right back. None of them...especially Jeb...would have handled this well. Toss in the 100-percent slanted press? Yeah...they would have all failed.

But Trump knew the press slant and used against them. He actually made CNN look like fools.

Right you are. No one other than Trump had the guts to showcase the families of those harmed by illegals or victimized by Bill and Hillary. Oh and let’s not forget that no other Republican ever went after the inner city vote the way Trump did. “What the hell do you have to lose” was classic!

That press conference before debate number 2 was genius...as well as the “you’d be in jail” quip. I think that quip hurt PIAPS more than she and the MSM will ever admit, imo.

I wonder if Cruz would have won the debates. He has a great reputation for debating, but how did that play out in the primaries?

Here’s an example. In one of the later debates, Cruz spoke of natural born citizenship. He said that some extremely strict originalists say that only two natural born citizens can give birth to a NBC.

This is patently, absurdly, ludicrously untrue. No strict originalists believe this, because it would mean that no such thing as a NBC exists, or has ever existed.

Since Cruz is intelligent enough to know this, why would he make such a claim? Perhaps to throw Trump off stride, since it would mean that his Scottish born mother disqualified him for POTUS.

It didn’t throw Trump off for even a nanosecond, however. He simply responded that his mother was a US citizen when she birthed him, and moved on.

As a debate point and/or tactic, it was ineffective. So how would he have done so much better against Hillary? It just doesn’t seem likely.
