A little over 8 years ago some friends said that they were going to stage an intervention on me. They were gravely concerned about my mental state due to a decision I made. That decision was to vote for John McCain instead of Barack Obama. In 2008 well meaning college educated friends thought that voting for an intelligent, selfless, well meaning conservative was an intervention worthy action equivalent to shooting heroin or having a mental illness. I subsequently ruined a number of social gatherings just by mentioning my political preference. Friends who were laughing w/ me opened the trapdoor beneath me and unleashed their vitriol the moment my opinions became known. I’ve been called a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a flat earther, selfish and everything in between — by friends.

Conservatives have accepted homosexuality as an oppressed ethnic group no different than Blacks. They have folded. Apparently there's nothing left of conservatism but social Darwinist economics and some primal European racial/social identitarianism.

I fought the battle for a long time and it was a futile waste of time and energy. My advice: do what I did - GET OUT!. Take your tax dollars, your income and your skill set and leave for somewhere more free.
Agree. At it’s basic core, homosexuality is extreme hedonism. To a homosexual, nothing in creation matters to them except the next orgasm. They have NO self control. They are like untamed animals. They only exist for the compulsive pleasure of sex.
And homosexuality is most definitely a choice, or rather an addiction. Just like a person cannot be a necrophiliac until they have actually had sex with a corpse, or one cannot be bestial until they have actually engaged in sex with an animal, such is the way with homosexuals.

Me too. I bailed for Arizona in 2003. There was absolutely no way I was ever going to be able to save for retirement or even own a home in California. You simply cannot ever get ahead there. And if you do manage to earn something, it will be stolen from you.
If it was ever possible, I would go back to California in a heartbeat. But it is no longer the Cali I remember from the 70s. It's like living in a foreign country now. There is no middle class in Cali anymore. You have the gilded, perfumed princes and the rest is City of God.

In 2012 I couldn't stand the stench of Mitt Romney, so I voted Libertarian. This year I would have used the write in line on my ballot had someone like Jeb! been the nominee.
