My family moved to Oregon to be rid of people like the ToryCalificans. After fighting in the REvolutionary War they could no longer stand to see a known Tory and there were too many of them. Feeling crowded, off they went to Oregon. Some 3 or 4 generations later they had spread to northern CA and Oregon. I wonder what they are going to do now? Move to Montana or WV maybe? Or are they going to pursue development of the State of Jefferson? I need to help with that!!

Judge Napolitano, on Varney this morning, said federal law would supersede the new Ca laws.

Good. Let Calif get out of the Union. That is exactly what Mexico wants...but, wait, let the State of Jefferson be formed first. Then, let Calif go along with AZ, NM and southern Texas where English is a foreign language.

One or two Supreme Court justices should straighten that out!

Every other car here in Longmont, Co. has California, New York or New Jersey plates.

Point taken but I've heard them spit the words with my own ears. "Damn those hollow points. They're cop killers. They should be banned."

When I correct them and point out that hollow points are not banned because they are not the rounds they are thinking of, I get, "Oh. You're one of those people."

Walking away with a head shake is the only option.

No doubt CA has gone over the edge, but I’m not sure this list is correct and would like citations for the following;

Possession of hollow point and similar style bullets is now a felony.

Anyone who is not allowed to legally own a weapon cannot live in a home with a weapon.

I am sooo glad that Trump won, just for the SC alone. Ruth Buzzy Ginsburg can’t retire/die soon enough for me.

I just copied the points from that posted thread article, so I have no idea about their validity.

HP bullet ban:

Legal weapon owner:
Sounds nuts to me. Kids can’t live with parents who own guns/ammo? BS on that.

Agree.

Now, examining this:

“Banning the possession of high capacity magazines (10 rounds +).”

So a high capacity magazine, not detachable
could be a tubular, such as on some 22 LRs and some lever actions?

And to ban those magazines, the (attached) gun must be banned.

Again, the list from the Texas Gun Seller is about 1/3 correct based on CA voters passing Prop 63.

The other 2/3 are fear mongering (maybe not unjustified) but not currently proposed for CA state law.

This is totally untrue, and is disturbing as it is published in what looks like a respectable newspaper website. In California it is still legal to purchase and possess hollow point ammunition. This thread is full of BS. This thread scared the shit out of me, damn it.

Used to be a nice place back in the 60s.
No one I know lives there anymore, and I sure won’t miss it when Mexico finally takes it over.

“Anyone who is not allowed to legally own a weapon cannot live in a home with a weapon.”

The article is stretching the truth ie:BS

Prop 63
(h) Any firearms that would otherwise be subject to relinquishment by a defendant under this section, but which are lawfully owned by a cohabitant of the defendant, shall be exempt from relinquishment, provided the defendant is notified that the cohabitant must store the firearm in accordance with Section 25135.

Section 25135 Penal code

CHAPTER 2. Criminal Storage of Firearm [25100 - 25135] ( Chapter 2 added by Stats. 2010, Ch. 711, Sec. 6. )

25135.

(a) A person who is 18 years of age or older, and who is the owner, lessee, renter, or other legal occupant of a residence, who owns a firearm and who knows or has reason to know that another person also residing therein is prohibited by state or federal law from possessing, receiving, owning, or purchasing a firearm shall not keep in that residence any firearm that he or she owns unless one of the following applies:

(1) The firearm is maintained within a locked container.

(2) The firearm is disabled by a firearm safety device.

(3) The firearm is maintained within a locked gun safe.

(4) The firearm is maintained within a locked trunk.

(5) The firearm is locked with a locking device as described in Section 16860, which has rendered the firearm inoperable.

(6) The firearm is carried on the person or within close enough proximity thereto that the individual can readily retrieve and use the firearm as if carried on the person.

(b) A violation of this section is a misdemeanor.

(c) The provisions of this section are cumulative, and do not restrict the application of any other law. However, an act or omission punishable in different ways by different provisions of law shall not be punished under more than one provision.
(Added by Stats. 2013, Ch. 737, Sec. 7. Effective January 1, 2014.)
