I think the article suggests she can’t make a deal. Since she lied to the feds she is going to go to jail. The only way out of it is to do what the feds tell her to do.
Always though perjury under oath was a felony.

One set of rules for our betters, and another set for us ‘mundanes’. Our institutions are corrupted. And our government-schooled population largely does not care. Do conservatives, constitutionists and Christians care enough to remove their children from public schooling? Nope.
